When you activate your Frontier Call Manager account, a default Find-Me List – which rings both your home phone and cell phone simultaneously -- is in effect. You can create your own Find-Me Lists by following the steps below. To activate a Find-Me List you must follow additional steps in the Call Treatment section of the Dashboard.
When you create your Find-Me List, you can specify either one phone or the other (home or cell) or both.
To create a Find-Me list:
- Access the Frontier Call Manager Dashboard on your computer, and under Advanced Features on the Dashboard Navigation panel, click Find-Me List.
- Your Find-Me Lists window will appear. Click Add at the bottom of the screen.
- The Add Find-Me Lists window will appear.
- Click Add button. The Find-Me Number Add window will appear.
- To specify the first destination phone on your Find-Me List, on the drop-down menu next to Use This Phone, select either your cell or home phone.
- On the drop-down menu next to Call Acceptance, select the Call Acceptance Question that you will hear when you answer this phone. (For details see A note about Call Acceptance Questions.)
- Click Save at the bottom of the screen. You will return to the Add Find-Me Lists window.
- If you want this Find-Me List to send calls only to the phone you have just selected, Skip to Step 13 below to name your list and set your Caller ID display.
- If you want your Find-Me List to send calls to both phones, you must specify that now. Click Add at the bottom of the screen. The Find-Me Number Add window will appear again.
- On the drop-down menu next to Use This Phone, select the other phone (the one you did not select in Step 4.)
- On the drop-down menu next to Call Acceptance select the Call Acceptance Question that you will hear when you answer this phone.
- Click Save at the bottom of the screen.
- Click Options at the bottom of the screen. The Find-Me List Options page will appear.
- To name your Find-Me List, enter the name in the Find-Me List Name field. (The initial default name is always a number and the words “Find-Me List.” Type the name you have chosen right over it.)
- To change the Find-Me Strategy, select either Sequential or Simultaneous Ring from the drop-down menu. If you choose:
- Sequential – when your the first phone on your list is unanswered, the other will be called, and the process will be repeated sequentially for a specified time period until one phone is answered. If both phones remain unanswered, the call will go to your Frontier Call Manager Voice Mail.
- Simultaneous Ring – when you get a call, this selection will simultaneously ring both phones in your Find-Me list. If both phones remain unanswered, the call will go to your Frontier Call Manager Voice Mail.
- If you wish, click to remove the check from the Show Caller ID box to prevent display of the incoming call's caller ID on your destination phone. If the box is unchecked, the caller ID will display the number of your Frontier Call Manager number, so you will know that it is a Frontier Call Manager call. (This box is checked by default unless you make this change.)
- Click Save at the bottom of the window. The Find-Me List window will appear with the following message at the top of the page: “<Find-Me List Name> successfully added.”
